PRO—LIFE CORNER:
We who are pro--life do not say that abortion is the only issue. It is however, the foundational issue. Sometimes we hear that poverty is more important than abortion. Certainly, the problems are related and we must actively care for the poor. But to truly evaluate the parallel between the plight of the poor and that of the unborn. We would have to imagine a government policy whereby the poor were officially deprive of their basic Constitutional rights and nearly 4,000 of them are put to death daily against their will. It would be one thing to assert that the government does or does not advance the rights of the poor, but it is quite another to assert that the poor have no right to exist as “Roe vs. Wade” did to the unborn.
